Online Singing Class – Beginner Level

If you’ve always wanted to learn how to sing but didn’t know where to start, this class is for you!

 

Whether you sing in the shower or dream of joining a choir, this session will help you build the right foundation. You’ll learn simple, practical techniques that set you up for healthy and confident singing.

 

The class is held in a friendly and supportive environment. You don’t need any prior experience — just bring your curiosity and be ready to explore your voice.

In this class, you’ll learn how to:

  • Breathe properly for singing – using your diaphragm and managing airflow

  • Warm up your voice – with exercises to gently prepare your vocal cords

  • Produce a clear, strong sound – without straining or damaging your voice

  • Practise rhythm and pitch accuracy – so you can stay in time and in tune

  • Develop body awareness – understand how posture and relaxation affect your voice

  • Build vocal confidence – learn in a way that feels safe and encouraging

 

Course Details:

Course length: 4 weeks

Duration: 1 hour - Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:30 

Starting: Wednesday, August 6 and Wednesday, September 3

Level: Beginner

Online Singing Beginner Level

Whether you sing in the shower or dream of joining a choir, this session will help you build the right foundation. You’ll learn basics of note-reading, rhythm, and key music theory concepts and simple singing techniques that set you up for healthy and confident singing.

 

The class is held in a friendly and supportive environment. You don’t need any prior experience - just bring your curiosity and be ready to explore your voice.

Key areas of study:

  • Read basic sheet music - In treble clef

  • Understand note values and rhythm - Crotchets, quavers, rests, etc.

  • Recognise time signatures - 4/4, 3/4, 6/8, etc.

  • Identify key musical symbols - Repeats, bar lines, dynamics

  • Follow a musical line with greater accuracy

  • Warm up your voice - with exercises to gently prepare your vocal cords
